ABCD Dance Show

This morning the street dance and drama after school clubs put on a spectacular show for the whole school and parents too! It was amazing to see how confident even the youngest children were. What a treat it was! Take a look at the photos…

Music Morning

Today, Year 1 had a fantastic morning learning beats and rhythms. We practised different beats and rhythms and played lots of games to develop our timing. We learnt a song about Australia, practised it and then recorded it, we had a great time!

Nursery Rhyme trip

This week we were invited to take part in a Nursery Rhyme afternoon with other Stockport schools. Each school chose a song to dress up as and to sing. Or song was Baa Baa Black Sheep and the children enjoyed walking around the town hall singing their song. The children joined in with all the nursery rhymes and had a lovely afternoon. IMG_3381

Magic Beans in the Forest

The first half of Orange class have been out in the woodland this week and while they were busy exploring the woodland they found some magic beans. Our trip to the farm

We had such a fantastic day at Smithills Open Farm. We had a very busy day with farmer Steph she showed us around the whole farm, let us feed and stroke the baby animals, have a donkey ride and tractor ride and then watched the cows being milked. The Water Cycle

In Science, we have been thinking about states of matter and how water can present itself in 3 forms- a solid, a liquid and a gas. Blue class developed their historical skills today finding out all about Roman life. We visited the Dewa centre in Chester where a Roman Centurian was waiting for us as we arrived. We had a special Christmas Forest School this week. The children helped to cut wood and collect sticks to make twig stars and little wooden santas.
