Music Celebration Assembly

This afternoon, we celebrated the exceptional musical talents of St Mary’s choir and guitar club. The assembly began with the guitar club playing three fantastic pieces, including one with three-way harmony. Then, the choir treated us to three songs. St Mary’s audience of pupils and parents even joined in with their interactive performance. Well done to everybody who took part, especially those who performed solos and duets. Thank you to our

Forest School Week 3

This was the last week of Forest School this week! As Mrs Warburton was leading the session all the children reminded her of the important rules of the forest! STOMP workshop

On Monday we were lucky enough to have a professional dancer called Pete, from the hit Broadway Show Stomp, come to teach us some dance moves! We had a fabulous time and really busted some moves. We enjoyed showing the rest of the school what we had learned.

What makes a good community?

In our R.E this half term we have been thinking about what makes a good member of a community. We thought about our own school community at St Mary’s and decided that we need to be friendly, welcoming and caring to each other. We then thought about the wider community and decided to invite Clive from the church to talk to us about the

New Life

In Science this half term we have been learning all about life cycles and how animals grow and change. We looked at how we have changed and then started to look at different animals too. The arrival of the eggs was perfect as we were able to look at the inside of an egg and see how a chick develops in just 21 days.
