Music Celebration Assembly

This afternoon, we celebrated the exceptional musical talents of St Mary’s choir and guitar club. The assembly began with the guitar club playing three fantastic pieces, including one with three-way harmony. Come and Play at the Halle

This morning, Blue Class joined a world famous orchestra at an interactive performance. Electric Assembly

This morning Blue class made themselves very proud by sharing their learning in a class assembly. We informed St Mary’s and parents how to stay safe when using electricity. Jewish History Museum

As part of our Religious Education curriculum, Blue Class visited the Jewish History Museum in Manchester. It is situated in a former synagogue so we got to experience what it would be like to worship there. We interacted with traditional objects and toured to exhibits to learn about the history of Jewish people in Manchester. STOMP Workshop

The first day back to school after our half term break was certainly an exciting one for St. Mary’s! We were joined by Pete from the stage show Stomp who taught us lots of fantastic dance moves using our hands and feet. Blue Class visit the ‘Western Wall’!

As part of our Pilgrimages topic in RE, we have looked at why Jerusalem is important to Christians, Jews and Muslims. We watched the story of the 10 Commandments and learned how Moses took the stone tablets to Jerusalem. A temple was built there but was destroyed by the Babylonians and then by the Romans. Blue class have been enjoying their second week of Forest School. We had real April weather today, sunshine, rain, wind and even some hailstones.
