Music Celebration Assembly

This afternoon, we celebrated the exceptional musical talents of St Mary’s choir and guitar club. The assembly began with the guitar club playing three fantastic pieces, including one with three-way harmony. RE Workshop at Trinity C.E High School

Indigo’s Class Assembly

Indigo did a fantastic job when presenting their class assembly on Edale and the School Linking Project this morning! We were all very proud of them. Dunham Massey School Linking Trip

We had a gorgeous day for visiting Dunham Massey today for our final School Linking Project trip of the year! Edale 2015

Indigo have had a brilliant time at Edale! They had a very busy three days which consisted of rock climbing, weaselling, canoeing, night hikes, treasure hunts and teamwork games. It was lovely to see Indigo working as a team, strengthening friendships, trusting each other and having the courage to have a go and persevere during all of these activities. Stomp!

We were visited today by Pete Francis, a dancer from Stomp the stage show. He worked with each class to teach them dance moves and music using their hands and feet. The children in Violet and Indigo classes learnt a dance routine to perform as a whole group. It looked amazing when it was finished and the children really impressed with how they kept

Indigo’s General Election

All week in literacy we have been working on our manifestos and campaigns which link to the policies which we would want if we were prime minister. Holy Trinity Visit St Mary’s

Holy Trinity visited year 5 today as part of our school linking project. We were very lucky with the weather as it was glorious sunshine! When Holy Trinity arrived we completed venn diagrams in talking partners to find out about things we had in common and things which we liked that were different. Every pair had lots in common that they realised to begin with.

St Mary’s Chicks week 1

It has been a long week for our chicks. Since arriving as little eggs, they have hatched and grown into curious, adventurous chicks. As soon as the the chick has hatched and dried out in the incubator they are moved into the box where they can drink, feed and scratch.
