St George’s Day

We were very excited in Red Class this week as we have been learning all about St George. He was a very brave man as he continued to be a Christian even when some people tried to make him stop believing in God. St George also fought a dragon! We made red roses, shields with the St George’s Cross on and made dragon masks.

Red Class Minibeast Party

As part of our Living Things topic we decided to invite our grown ups to share our learning via a minibeast party. We made spider cakes, minibeast masks, painted minbeast tiles and pretended we were minibeasts in the outdoor classroom. Thank you to everyone who came to share our learning.

Red Class at the Farm

What a fantastic trip we had to Lancaster Park and Farm this term! Sport Relief

Sport Relief was a very successful day at St Mary’s! School council organised a number of events throughout the day and sold wristbands during the week. We raised a lot of money for a very worthy cause. Everyone dressed up in their favourite sport kit, we had different football teams, dancers and gymnasts. Red Class Police Visit

Today we were visited by the police….don’t panic though, the Police Officer’s had come to tell us all about how they help people during our ‘police’ theme. Red Class Christmas

On Tuesday we had a special ‘Christmas Around the World’ day in Key Stage 1 and in Red class we learnt about Australia. A Nativity story

Today the Rheema Theatre company came to St. Mary’s to perform a retelling of Nativity story. It was so entertaining and made us laugh so much and remember the true meaning of Christmas.
