On Thursday Year 2 went on a day trip to West Kirby beach. The weather was fantastic! We had a sandcastle competition when we first got there. Oxfam Water Week

Eco-council have done a fantastic job organising events for the Oxfam Water Week. All week the children have been bringing loose change in to try and fill a water bottle. KS2 Sports day!

Yesterday, Monday 3rd July, St. Mary’s held their annual KS2 sports day afternoon. All parents were invited to watch the children complete a number of activities testing both individually and within teams including, sprint races, javelin, long jump, obstacle races, relay, egg and spoon, sack races and target games. Yellow class at Forest school -Week 1

Yellow class started their Forest school this week. We needed our waterproofs today as it was a little bit rainy. We listened to the rain and decided it was very musical. Jan visits Yellow Class

Today Jan came to visit Yellow Class to talk about how Christian Aid tries to help those in need. We made a paper chain, we wrote on each piece of paper how we could change the world we live in and what we would change.

  To celebrate all our learning about India during our Geography topic we had a special Indian day. We used what we had learnt from our pen pal Lakshmi to plan out lots of activities including making puppets of Rama, Sita and the wicked Ravanna from the Diwali story and making Rangoli patterns outside our door.
