Oxfam Water Week

Eco-council have done a fantastic job organising events for the Oxfam Water Week. All week the children have been bringing loose change in to try and fill a water bottle. KS2 Sports day!

Yesterday, Monday 3rd July, St. Mary’s held their annual KS2 sports day afternoon. All parents were invited to watch the children complete a number of activities testing both individually and within teams including, sprint races, javelin, long jump, obstacle races, relay, egg and spoon, sack races and target games. We had a fabulous time at Manchester Airport Runway Park today. Take a look at what we did….


Red Class Beach Party

We had a fabulous time consolidating our learning about ‘holidays’ at our beach party. We paddled, made a beach in a bottle, made sand castles and flags, postcards, dancing, and making the ice cream sundaes that we had designed!


Fun with Poetry!

Snow Day

Red class had a fabulous time learning and exploring in the snow. We explored the difference moving in snow by travelling in a range of ways. We made snowmen and learnt about the properties of snow. Shrove Tuesday

Red class enjoyed learning about Shrove Tuesday and applying their learning into their maths session by measuring, weighing, mixing and eating pancakes! The children were great using scales and measuring jugs carefully and the pancakes tasted delicious!
