Forest School 2017-18

All the children at St Mary’s follow our own Forest School learning programme. The curriculum content was designed and written by Mrs Moran who works with all classes in all weathers.

Nature detectives

This half term at Nature club we have decided to take the R.S.P.B’s Wild Challenge. We are working towards our Bronze challenge. Last week at Forest school

In our final forest school session we went to investigate some strange sights in the trees. We found strange orange and green strands hanging in the trees…could it be fairy hair? Forest School 28/09/17

We have had another fabulous week at our Forest School. This week we were making funny faces out of mud, discovering hidden dens and making musical instruments out of the natural objects around us.


Forest School 21/09/17

We had a fantastic time on our first Forest School day and even though the weather was wet and windy we thoroughly enjoyed exploring the field and woods. We explored the forest school area with Miss Hays, made nature faces with Mrs Bradley and even helped Mr Kelly build a big den.
