The above pupil premium strategy will be reviewed termly at Governing Board meetings and evaluated by 31.07.20, which is the end of the 2019-2020 year.
Our focus is and always will be, on enabling every child to succeed and achieve at the highest possible level that they are capable of, and particularly ensuring children from more disadvantaged or less supportive home backgrounds achieve and attain at the same levels as our more privileged children.
To this end, we have used the additional money to increase our support staff, extend lunchtime co-operative play opportunities, increase hours for our Learning Mentor, provide additional Learning Support Assistant time and to start the development of outdoor learning through a Forest Schools Project. We have also used the funding to supplement school uniform costs, extra-curricular costs, breakfast club costs and other extended learning opportunities.
The ultimate aim for our most vulnerable children is to:
- Maximise attainment and progress
- Have full access to the curriculum and school life
- Have full access to pastoral support where required
- Have access to extra-curricular learning, including school trips to enrich learning We will closely monitor and evaluate the impact of the spend during termly pupil progress meetings. This will enable us to assess the impact and effectiveness on a frequent and regular basis.
