We had such a fantastic trip to Stockport Air Raid Shelters to finish off our World War 2 topic! We played the role of evacuees during the day, and we pretended that we had been evacuated to Stockport from the Channel Islands (this really happened during WW2!) We looked around the Air Raid Shelters then after lunch, we completed workshops in Stockport Museum. We practised doing jobs we would need to do to help out in the home, practised putting on gas masks, sang WW2 songs, got to look at a bomb that had been dropped in Stockport but had never gone off and much more!
