Community Engagement
This half term, we have enjoyed some fantastic topics - including World War 2 in History and Space in Science. We have been lucky enough to share these topics with the rest of our school community and our parents.
Marquez in Year 3 brought in some WW2 artefacts to share with us which used to belong to his grandad who served in the fire and ambulance service during the war. These artefacts included a helmet, gas mask and medals and we loved seeing them up close. A huge thanks to Marquez and his mum for sharing these special objects with us!
On Internet Safety day (6th February), we invited our parents in to carry out some e-safety activities with us, as well as sharing what we have been doing in Science in terms of space. We focused on the evidence for a month and the phases of the moon with our parents. The morning was a huge success - especially using oreos and jaffa cakes to recreate the moon phases!
