Stars of the week – Friday 28th May
Arla, you have been working super hard on your phonics and are now segmenting and blending. You sound superstar!
Well done Deanna, you have really been trying to work independently this week, completing tasks before asking for help and having a go!
Luca, you have created a booklet on sharks that impressed Mrs Burns and Mrs Moran so much they thought you deserved the award this week. You have also been trying super hard to make the right choices. Well done!
Alex, you have worked extra hard on your maths unit based on time. Mr Plewes was proud of how enthusiastic you have been trying to learn time on both digital and analogue clocks.
Evie you have made amazing progress over our unit on balanced arguments. It is hard to show two sides of an argument and not our own view but you have written a fantastic piece on whether deforestation should be banned.
Stars of the week – Friday 21st May
Isaac, you have really grown in confidence and are thriving in your work. Well done and keep it up!
Tallulah well done for being such a role model, showing others how to start their work quickly and being a helpful hand to both adults and your friends.
Ethan the effort you have put into your homework for this term is fantastic and Mr Plewes was particularly impressed with your leaflet persuading people to visit places around the world!
Blue class – Reggie you have written some fantastic poetry with rhyming words and rhythm based on your class book ‘China Rabbit’ – well done!
IndigGeorgina, your leaflet you made for your homework on living a healthy life and providing advice was fantastic. Your drawings were so detailed and really added something to it. Well done!
Well done Megan- apparently you are an expert spy who has written the perfect guide for the any trainee spies out there! Your guide was particularly entertaining with fantastic language choices.
Stars of the week – Friday 14th May
Ralph Miss Hayes and Mrs Bradley have chosen you as their brainhero this week as you have been putting 100% into everything and trying to challenge yourself.
Matthew, well done on your award for your writing and challenging yourself to use super words. Mr Cooke was ‘blown away’ with your pizza work!
Orla your adventure story writing this week has been fantastic, including all the key features like adverbs and adjectives. Keep it up!
Max, Mr Plewes was impressed this week with your excitement to read and how you are enjoying the beginning of your new class book.
Max you have impressed Mr Oldham with your ‘WOW’ writing this week with a number of exciting sentences that created imagery for the reader.
Maddie you have worked hard and kept going through our unit on decimals. You should be proud!
Freddie you have created your own angle based challenges for the rest of the class to solve. Well done!

OBlaise, Mr Cooke and Miss Liddel think you have tried to challenge yourself this week and they were really impressed!
Yellow class – Mia, Mrs Burns has been impressed by your editing skills this week and how you are trying to work independently in your writing.
Lily you have produced some fantastic writing based on your class text ‘ The Gorilla’ and Mr Plewes thought this deserved Brainhero this week.
Renee, you have come to the end of your class book, ‘Tin Forest’ and Mr Oldham has been impressed by your creative writing. He especially liked to see fronted adverbials and expanded noun phrases in your work!
Xhesika you have a super stamina for writing and once you pick up your pen you don’t stop!
Katie, this week you have worked hard meeting your maths challenges on tricky angles and put 100% into your writing. Well done!
